Under the expert eye of their Leader (Concert Master), Prof. Claudio Cavalieri, the orchestra performed in approximately 120 concert productions under Colombini’s baton, both in the symphonic (from Handel to JohnWilliams) and operatic (Handel, Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Wagner, Richard Strauss) repertoires, showing a huge degree of versatility and a valuable knowledge especially of the Italian repertoire.

Last October, the Orchestra, under Colombini, gave the Italian creation the 1887/1890 Haas’ version of Anton Bruckner’s monumental 8th Symphony. And, previously, the orchestra, still with Colombini, gave first Italian performances of several works by Edward Elgar and Ralph Vaughan Williams.

In December 2013 the Orchestra successfully performed under Colombini’s baton in Vienna’s Musikverein Golden Hall and during the years 2014/16 the orchestra performed with Colombini for more than 65 performances, also filming 36 new music films, among them the first movie featuring the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards along with a full symphony orchestra in traditional and Celtic music, thus confirming the high versatility of this wonderful bunch of musicians. The Orchestra performed once again in Vienna’s Musikverein under Colombini’s Baton in December 2014 and 2015, obtaining a splendid success, thus being re-invited also on 18th Dec 2016 in front of more than 2000 people and once again receiving a splendid welcome and success by the Viennese Audience.
